The eight separate shades combine to create a sphere, which construction shields the light source from the view. The geometry of the lamp ensures symmetrical light distribution as the shades are struck by the rays of light in the same angle. It successfully prevents any glare from the bulb and creates a soft glowing effect. This amazing design is considered to be the big brother of the PH 3/2 and PH 4½/3½ lamps. Poul Henningsen was a master in lighting design and was one of the most recognised talents of the 20th century Nordic design. STOCKROOM reproduces this classic with chromed steel light fitting and aluminium shades.
