The inspiration for the design came from the famous New York Museum of Modern Art competition, “Low Cost Furniture Design” where the Plastic Armchairs were first presented. The organically shaped fibreglass and reinforced plastic seat shells were later combined with various different bases, such as RAR’s rockers.
